variation gallery images too big and different sizes

I am trying to add variation gallery images.
I have added images to the main product gallery.
I added 1 main image for each variation
then i add 2 more to the variation image gallery. I made these different sizes to test. Even on the image which was 50 px the problem is still there.
Basically, the images in the gallery are not the same size, but they do show up in proportion to the size they are. meaning a 50×50 is a square a 50×37 is more rectangle.
But also and more importantly, when i click on them to zoom, they get very very big…and its only a 50px image. The image gets very distorted because it is a 50px image enlarged, but I cannot find how to make variation gallery images smaller or to show up as the size of the image.
I do not have any additional plugins related to images or products or gallery etc.

Try to increase this value to 300 for example and check how it works.

The problem is still there on my end. Can you please check again and make sure you are looking at the correct product.
– the gallery thumbnail images are not contained to the same size. this occurs on each color variation, so dont look at the main image to see this because all the gallery images for the main pic are the same size. but the variation images for each attribute are not the same size.
– when you click on the gallery image to display, it enlarges greatly. this occurs on all the gallery images, even the one displayed as the main

You need to upload images for your variations with the same size as your main images.
