Variation Swatches not switching

Hi

I noticed on a product overview-page i can select a variation (in my case a different format) but when i cklick on the product after this to go to the single-page view it is still de default variation that is selected – no matter what i’ve selected before.

Can that be changed? I think that’s not what the outcome the user would expect.

I’ve added a short Screencast (as a .mov Video) to make it more clear.

Yes, we understand your point but it is how this function works in our theme. It is designed to allow customers click on the swatch on the shop page to see different images and not to select the variation before going to the product page.

OK that’s a pity but you can take it as a feature request for coming updates.
Would definitly improve the user experience.
