mindeParticipantHi, we are experiencing an issue in version 8.4.1 related to background videos.
When using a YouTube video as a background, the video controls (previous, play/pause, next buttons) briefly appear on the screen for a few seconds before disappearing. It wasnt like that before.
This should not happen, as background videos are expected to display without any visible controls. Happens consistently on page load.
Could you please check and fix this issue? Thanks in advance!

April 28, 2026 at 2:09 pm #717075Hello,
We checked the issue and this is related to how WPBakery handles YouTube background videos, that seems to be a limitation. There is no option to hide playback controls. You can check the with the default theme to confirm how it works.
Best Regards

mindeParticipantThank you for your answer.
It’s a bit confusing that this started appearing after a recent update. I have several other websites using the same theme and similar WPBakery settings for YouTube background videos, and in those cases the playback controls are not showing.
Could you please escalate this further or create a case with WPBakery Page Builder (Visual Composer), since you are acting as the provider/partner in this setup?
It would be very helpful to clarify whether this is a new limitation or a change introduced in an update.
April 28, 2026 at 3:26 pm #717092Hello,
Please check how it works with the default WordPress theme and Woocommerce Storefront theme just to check whether the issue is with our theme or not.
If it works fine with the default WordPress theme then please share some screenshots of the issue with the default theme and WoodMart theme so I can further check on your site and reproduce the issue?
Best Regards

mindeParticipantIve tested this with a fresh setup using Storefront theme and only Visual Composer active, and the same issue still occurs. This confirms that the problem is not caused by the Woodmart theme, as it persists even without it. However, since the issue appeared after the recent update on your side, I believe it should still be escalated from Woodmart to Visual Composer for proper investigation. Could you please forward this to the Visual Composer team or coordinate with them on this?
April 30, 2026 at 3:42 pm #717308Hello,
Thank you for reporting this and for the thorough testing with Storefront and WPBakery only. That test clearly shows the issue is not caused by the WoodMart theme, but by how WPBakery Visual Composer injects the YouTube iframe for background‑video rows.
Please contact the plugin support in this regard. They will guide you better.
Best Regards

mindeParticipantThanks for your reply.
I understand your point, but in practice this is not something we can resolve directly with WPBakery support. The plugin is bundled and updated via the Woodmart license, which means we do not have direct access to their support.Even though the root cause seems to come from how WPBakery injects the YouTube iframe, the issue is triggered and exposed through the Woodmart implementation/templates. This is also something multiple clients have already reported, and it negatively affects the frontend experience (visible controls flashing on background videos).
Because of this, we believe this should be handled or at least escalated from your side, either:
by coordinating with WPBakery, or by applying a workaround/fix within Woodmart (e.g. handling iframe initialization, overlay, or CSS suppression)At the moment, this is impacting real users and gives an unpolished impression on live sites.
Could you please reconsider escalating this internally or providing a temporary fix from your side?
Thanks in advance.May 1, 2026 at 9:38 am #717341Hello,
Sorry, but there is no option in Theme Settings available for that.
It requires customizations and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.
Regards.
