Is there special dimensions that are needed for the video cover photos? I can never get them to work.

I cant get the video cover feature to show up and I’d hate to have to add ANOTHER plugin. Please help. Is this a glitch or is there dimensions or size guidelines. I made the image the exact size as the template’s image.
