WC Product Widget Source Choice

Hi All,
Is it possible to have this widget show up either upsells or linked products of a “master” product?
Also, is it possible to open a new tab when customer clicks the link on this widget?
Reason for asking is I want to have this show up at the end of the product short description. I will only add 1 or 2 items (due to space) but currently I would need to add a html block for every product as this choice is not available. If it were add upselling product(s) which are chosen on the product page it could mean I have 1 html block that I could use on all products.

You can show the “Upsells” product via our Layouts -> Products (grid or carousel) element – https://take.ms/hu2mp
Unfortunately, there is no way to open the product in a new tab.

Thanks for the reply, problem is the layout for the widget is much better (with the writing on the right of the image rather than below it) so I was hoping to keep using the widget rather than the others (unless I am mistaken and you can make the layout like that too)
Do you want to make the sidebar from the right side and show the widget in the sidebar itself?

The side bar is not the preffered solution as I am trying to fill in the blank realestate to marry up with the image size on the left. If I use the sidebar it actually adds more blank space which is what I’m trying to avoid.
If it cannot be done, well no worries, I’ll try to think of something else I guess.
Send me the URL link to that page and the admin access so I can check that blank space.

Hi, I have added a screenshot of what I mean. Adding a sidebar wouldnt be a good use of space (IMHO) I have added 1 product there by manual selection so at worst I can do this, however the issue is if the customer actually clicks it it will take them to a new page instead rather than a blank so they can stay, and hopefully buy, the product they were originally on.

Well, clicking on that now DOES open in the same browser tab and I feel thats a problem as it takes the customer away from the part he was actually looking at (as this is a upsell) So there was the question about this link openieng in a new tab. But I also would like that product shown in the link to be from the upsell parts listed on the product editing page rather than selecting the part individually (so I can have this same html block on all parts.

Sorry, but there is no option in Theme Settings available for that.
It requires customizations, and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.
