AgromoParticipantHi,
I would like to know if there are OUT OF STOCK or SOLD OUT indicator options that could be enabled for the website, especially on the single product pages. I noticed recently after forgetting a step while filling in a product information on the website, that a message written in red texts on the single product page stated “This product is currently out of stock and unavailable”. However, that didn’t seem like the official out of stock sign or indicator I usually see on e-commerce websites. Some websites “ADD TO CART” button would automatically turn in “OUT OF STOCK” when all variable sizes are out of stock. But if a particular size is out of stock instead of all the sizes, the size would become non responsive when you try to click on it. And the unavailable size(s) would be written in grey instead of black like the available sizes. If not these options, is there something else? Thanks.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Out of stock label is set to be displayed when products are out of stock.
You can try to use our Stock progress bar and see if this works for you:

AgromoParticipantHi, I don’t want a stock progress bar showing the amount of items left. WooCommerce already have a feature you could enable to show how many items are left. I’m interested in a Out of Stock badge or button displaying those exact words “OUT OF STOCK”, on the single product detail page when every is out of stock. But if only a certain size is out of stock, something that would indicate that.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Sorry but there is no option or module available to display the badge when only one variation is out of stock.
It requires customizations and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.
You can try finding a plugin for that.
Best Regards

AgromoParticipantHi, I guess based on your last response to my questions, you must’ve read my message wrong. I wasn’t asking for a Out of Stock badge when only one variation is out of stock. I know that Out of Stock badges are usually seen when all variations are out of stock. But anyway, I don’t see a badge indication at all when all variations are out of stock, so that’s one of the things I was inquiring about. Is that a theme feature? And, what would indicate when a variation (not all) is out of stock on the single product detail page? I have a dropdown button.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Actually, the Sold our label should display when all the variations are out of stock.
Please make sure that you have set all the variations out of stock by editing them.

If the label still doesn’t display then provide with the admin panel login details of the website.
Best Regards.

AgromoParticipantHi. What do you mean “make sure that you have set all the variations out of stock by editing them”? Is that for testing purposes, because why then would I need to set all the variations for out of stock by editing them?
Also, the screenshot you last sent me to see if the out of stock label displays, where is that located on the backend, the product edit page or elsewhere? Thanks.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
You asked that the Sold out label is not displayed.
I am asking you to make sure that the variations are set to be out of stock only then the label will be displayed.
It is from the product Edit in the backend.
Best Regards

AgromoParticipantHi,
I spoke with you about 3 weeks ago concerning the Out of Stock indicator or badge not appearing on the single product detail page when a size variation product is completely out of stock. Originally, only a text message written in red was seen when the product was out of stock. The developer I hired at the time, used custom css to add a “Out of Stock” texts/button to replace the red texts, which should’ve automatically be seen alone when the product is out of stock, instead of the “ADD TO BAG” button. But the ADD TO BAG button in still visible when an item is out of stock. You’re only able to see the OUT OF STOCK button when you click on one of the size variations from the drop down button. Which would make both the ADD TO BAG button and the OUT OF STOCK button appear at the same time, which doesn’t seem practical or right. The ADD TO BAG texts should NOT be visible when an item is out of stock, only the Out of Stock button/texts should be seen. My question is, is there a way to have only the OUT OF STOCK texts appear automatically like seen in one of the following screenshots? Also, the other screenshot with the red texts is what was indicated when an item was out of stock, before the developer added the custom css to change it the black out of stock button/image. See screenshots. Thanks.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I saw the screenshots you attached.
Sorry, but there is no option in Theme Settings to achieve what you require.
It requires customizations and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.

AgromoParticipantHi,
The custom css was added to create an indicator image when a product is out of stock, because only the message in the red texts from the screenshot above appeared, which I didn’t think looked very official. It should at least have a OUT OF STOCK or SOLD OUT badge that appears when an item is out of stock, like I usually see on other websites.
If I removed the custom css with the black Out of Stock button image from on of the screenshots above, what am I left with and what are my other options? Thanks.`

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
As I mentioned in one of my previous replies a Out of stock label is set to be displayed when products are out of stock.
If the label is not appearing on your website then provide the admin panel login details of the website.
Regards.

AgromoParticipantHi,
I know that you mentioned previously that the out of stock label is set to be displayed when products are out of stock. I tested it out 2 different ways. I created test products and followed your instructions from a previous screenshot you sent me before, and also by doing it a different way by adding “0” amounts for each variable sizes from an item, and what I noticed afterwards were what I sent to you from the 2 screenshots yesterday. However, the screenshot with the texts in red was before the developer added the custom css to create the black out of stock button image. And after the css was added, it appears differently and looks like what is displayed in the other screenshot, after you click on any of the variable sizes when an item is out of stock.
If possible, please send me a screenshot of what you consider an Out of Stock label. And you’re also welcome to log into the site and check this out for yourself, you can create your own test product to test this out. Thanks.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I have logged into your website, created a testing product, and set it to out of stock and you can see the label sold out on the image.

AgromoParticipantHi,
I logged into the website after I saw your last above screenshot to check out the test product in person, both on the frontend and the backend Edit page, but I didn’t see the Sold Out label from your screenshot. I also created another test product, but for Simple Product this time like you did, because I previously created a test product for Variable Product before, but I still didn’t see the Sold Out label you showed me in your screenshot. Also, if you’re able log back into the website again, please make the label black this time instead of red. Thanks.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I have logged into your website the label wasn’t displayed due to the CSS you added.
I have removed the CSS and the label is displaying again.
Screenshot for Clarification: https://gyazo.com/27f620845e9514f818584075f36accee
The CSS that was causing the issue is as follows:
.labels-rectangular { display: none; }
