What is in yearly subscription?

I have purchased Charon corporate theme . Than I have notices that the amount was yearly subscription. Until purchase no info screens mention it was yearly. It all seem like it’s one time payment.
So anyway, what is included in yearly? If I cancel subscription before renewal, can I continue using theme?

All space themes on the site are by subscription. As long as the subscription is active, there is access to updates and support.
