Widget – product categories – Show category neighbors if there is no children

Hello,

Widget – product categories – Show category neighbors if there is no children.

Please advise how to display ‘Show category neighbors if there are no children’, not in the page title but in the ‘Product Categories’ widget. The rest of the functionality works the same as in the navigation title, except for this function.

Unfortunately, there is no such option right now. You can try the trick that with categories that has no subcategories, you can use Custom query for Data Source and put categories’s neighbors https://ibb.co/8B3TmZ8

Create a unique layout for each category, subcategory, and sub-subcategory. Even if you do that, how would you apply changes? Every change would need to be made in each individual layout.

If use a “Custom query” for the “Product Categories” widget (refer to previous messages), you will have to configure the layout for each category and subcategory individually.

This means that making changes to the layout of all categories will be practically impossible, as it would require reworking each layout. Please read the previous messages for better understanding.

Or are there options to make this more convenient? The option with HTML blocks—I’m not sure how well it will look on the catalog page.

Use the “Navigation” type of menu to have such an option – https://take.ms/CwT0Z. With the grid type, this option is not available.
