jackennilsParticipantHello!
I’ve discovered a strange issue with the wishlist.
First of all: I checked if the issue persists with all plugins (except the required ones) deactivated. It does. When I’m not logged in and add an item to the wishlist by clicking on the heart icon, it turns into a check icon as it should. After that I open the wishlist. It shows an empty wishlist. But when I hit F5, the item which I have just added, suddely does appear. Same if I add a second one or if I remove an item from the wishlist. I also need to manually reload the page to see any changes. As I’ve said, it happens also with all plugins being disabled. Hence no caching issue. But when I’m logged in, it works fine.
Same issue on my productive site and on my staging environment. Feel free to test, login details below. You need to disable the Slim Maintenance Mode Plugin to test a as guest. Please do not forget to enable it again when done. Nobody needs to access the staging site – except you and me. 🙂
Thanks

jackennilsParticipantThanks Luke.
I spoke with my host and they have told me that OPCache is enabled. But it is enabled for years. And it worked some time ago, so it can’t be that OPCache is responsible.
But still, I have deactivated OPCache via user.ini and the problem still persists.
It must be something on your end.
Please check.Thank you!

Luke NielsenMemberHello,
After checking your site, we see that you have an activated browser cache, the setting of which is .htaccess https://monosnap.com/file/SoEGgGUVvdMxMVa8oCZoMDoUWlqZHn.
When we remove it, the problem with the wishlist goes away. Therefore, contact the technical support of your server for a more correct setting of this functionality so that the wishlist page is not cached
Kind Regards

jackennilsParticipantThank you Luke.
Well yes, setting the expiry time for text/html type files to 0 seconds does solve the problem. However, it is strange that the wishlist always worked. Even though the leverage browser cache settings have not been changed since years.

Luke NielsenMemberHello,
In general, such behavior happens only when it’s cached. So can the topic be closed in this case?
Thank you for your patience.
Kind Regards
