MilaParticipantHi there,
I’m using the WoodMart theme and noticed that WooCommerce notices (like
Cart updated
orShipping costs updated
) do not disappear automatically and have no close button. Is there a built-in way in WoodMart to:
- show a close (×) button on notices?
- make notices disappear after a few seconds automatically?
I believe this would improve UX and avoid stuck messages on the screen.
Thank you

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Those notices come from WooCommerce itself, so could you please check how it works on the default Storefront theme?
Thank you for your time.
Kind Regards

MilaParticipantHi Luke,
I understand that notices are generated by WooCommerce, but WoodMart is overriding their output and styles.
In the default Storefront theme, the notices include a close (×) button.
In WoodMart, the notices remain on the screen with no option to close them.
Could you please consider adding a close button and/or auto-hide option in future updates?
Or is there any setting or snippet available to add this behavior?
Thank you
Mila

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Okay, thank you. But it’s not a bug. Here is a screenshot from the WooCommerce Storefront theme – https://prnt.sc/JHHQhCZevgcq
Thank you for your time.

MilaParticipantHi again,
Thanks for your reply!
I just checked with the Twenty Twenty-One theme, and the WooCommerce notices there do have a close (×) button.
Here’s the screenshot for reference.
Also, on my current live website (using the PeakShops theme), there’s a built-in theme option to set the duration (in seconds) for how long WooCommerce notices stay visible.
So, it seems that the behavior depends on the theme styling. Would it be possible to add the close button via the theme options or with a snippet?
Thanks!
