I paid a search plugin company and they say you need your theme author to amend this issue

Why do you think that it was hacked via the theme? There is no any access through the theme.

this is the information I have from my searc plug in as yours doesnt work,

they say you have an issue nothing ever searches its making my website very bad

So the issue with the code you added to our theme? Then, it is not our theme bug or problem.
