sufyan.developerParticipantHi, I’m having a serious issue with my website after updating the WoodMart theme.
The website was originally built with WoodMart version 5.3. I updated it to the latest version, but after that, the entire website started breaking. The slider stopped loading, the header was messed up, and several other elements were affected.
The biggest issue is with the single product page. The product image is completely blank/white, and the product description is not showing at all.
I tried restoring an older backup from before the update. After restoring the backup, the homepage and other pages started working normally again, but the **single product pages are still broken**. The product image and description are still not displaying.
I’m really stuck at this point because even restoring the old backup did not fix the product page issue.
Could you please guide me on the **correct and safe way to upgrade my website from WoodMart 5.3 to the latest version** without breaking the existing design, header, slider, product pages, and other website functionality?
I want to make sure the website is fully compatible with the latest WoodMart version after the upgrade. If there are any required steps, compatibility changes, or migration procedures that I need to follow, please let me know.

Thank you for the detailed information.
Since the website was originally built with WoodMart 5.3, this is a very old version, and a direct update to the latest WoodMart version can cause compatibility issues with the existing theme settings, layouts, header, sliders, and customizations.
The safest approach is not to perform the upgrade directly on the live website. We recommend the following:
1. Create a complete backup of the website and database.
2. Create a staging/dev copy of the website.
3. Update WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, WoodMart, WoodMart Core, and other plugins on the staging site while checking compatibility.
4. Review the old WoodMart settings and customizations, as some options and structures have changed significantly between older and newer versions.
5. Check the Single Product layout, including the product gallery, description, tabs, and other product elements.
6. Check whether the site uses any old/custom templates or outdated Elementor/WPBakery elements that need to be recreated.
7. Test the homepage, header, slider, shop/archive pages, single product pages, cart, checkout, and other important functionality.
8. Once everything is working correctly on staging, migrate the tested changes to the live website.Regarding the fact that restoring the old backup did not restore the Single Product page correctly, this suggests that there may be something else involved, such as plugin compatibility, custom templates, or cached/generated files. We would need to inspect the website to determine the exact cause rather than recommend further changes blindly.
Please provide your WP-Admin login details in the Private Content field. We can then investigate why the Single Product image and description are missing.
Best Regards
