WoodMart and WooCommerce default variations not working

Hello, we have just updated WoodMart v8.3.4, WooCommerce v10.2.2, Woodmart Core v1.1.5 and Elementor to v3.33.1 to be sure it was not a version issue but the same happens in older versions.
We have a WooCommerce variable product with two variations, and selected the default values for the variations form (under product > Variations) but this is working on the frontend and the variations are not selected. This adds friction to our users and they abandon the website on the product page.
In the screenshots attached, you can see we have the options saved on the product but they are not being selected on the frontend.
Can you please check this and fix it? Thank you.

To better assist you, could you kindly test the functionality with default WordPress themes such as TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront? This will help us determine whether the issue stems from our theme or elsewhere.
