thelookingglassrecordingParticipantHi,
I am having the exact same issue as described in this thread:
I don’t understand why we need to disable the layout. Isn’t that one of the reasons to use the Woodmart theme? Why does it only remove the email field and nothing else?
If we must disable the layout, what are the alternatives for making the checkout look good? Do we have to create a custom layout from scratch.
Thank you.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Do you mean that you are using the same plugin? As we mentioned in the topic, this plugin has its own layout so you need to either use our theme’s custom layout or the one that comes with the plugin. It is not possible to have two custmo layouts at the same time.
Kind Regards

Artem TemosKeymasterIn this case, it will not work since you are using the plugin’s layout as well. You need to either disable the plugin or the theme’s custom layout.

thelookingglassrecordingParticipantWhich plugin are you referencing in this case? WooCommerce? What is the preferred way to accept payments if this is the case?
My goal is to use Woodmart and Woocommerce together. Are you saying that is not possible?
If I were to use the default Woodmart checkout, would that work?

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
You wrote that you have the same issue as in the topic and it was caused by the plugin mentioned there.
Anyway, please describe your issue here so maybe you have a different one.Kind Regards

thelookingglassrecordingParticipantI am using WordPress, WooCommerce, and Dokan. I want to use WooPayments to process payments. The Woodmart checkout layouts remove the billing email address which is required by WooCommerce. I can’t figure out how to modify the the checkout page such that the email is visible.

Artem TemosKeymasterWe don’t quite understand how the checkout page is built at the moment. Our custom layout is not applied. Make sure that your checkout page contains WooCommerce shortcode
[woocommerce_checkout]
. Then activate the layout and test how it works.April 23, 2025 at 4:03 pm #656123
thelookingglassrecordingParticipantI built a Layout through the Woodmart layouts feature. I used a template. How do I enable the original layout? Im not sure I still have it.

thelookingglassrecordingParticipantI tried going into a fresh install of the Woodmart theme and exporting the Furniture 2 checkout layout through Elementor. When I upload that layout to a new checkout page and link it in the WooCommerce settings, it still removes the email address. I have no idea what to do now.
April 24, 2025 at 9:14 am #656241
Artem TemosKeymasterPlease send us the access to this fresh installation so we can check. Note that your checkout page in Dashboard -> Pages should contain
[woocommerce_checkout]
shortcode only and nothing else. Currently, it is built with Elementor and may not work properly.April 24, 2025 at 3:47 pm #656386
thelookingglassrecordingParticipantThe site I pulled the Furniture 2 layout from is just a local installation.
On my active site, I just created a test checkout page called “Checkout Test 2” and all I did was drop in [woocommerce_checkout].
The same thing is happening. I don’t see the billing email.
April 24, 2025 at 3:49 pm #656387
thelookingglassrecordingParticipantAlso, I made sure the billing email is included in the WooCommerce checkout fields which it is.
Enabling/Disabling WooPayments doesn’t make a difference either.

thelookingglassrecordingParticipantI got it working, and I wish I had better clarity on what fixed the issue. I think the culprit was primarily with WooPayments. If anyone else sees this thread, try disabling WooPayments/WooCommerce and then re-enabling them.

Artem TemosKeymasterDo you mean that you have sorted it out? Can I help with anything else here?
April 25, 2025 at 4:00 pm #656645
thelookingglassrecordingParticipantYes, it is working. I will let you know if I have anymore issues.
