The issue was caused by the existing WoodMart Core plugin files on the server. After removing the plugin folder and reinstalling the plugin, the update completed successfully.
In most cases, this is a one-time issue and should not occur again during future updates. However, if it does happen, you can simply delete the existing WoodMart Core plugin folder and install the plugin again.
