woodmart main css coverage optimization

Hello!

We are now on to do a ‘hardcore’ speed optimization on our woo webshop. I noticed that the woodmart style.css is 92% unused. What do you advise as best practice to optimize these scripts, and to load only the needed parts of them and in a sustainable (theme updates proof) way?

Hello,

Yes, you check CSS coverage on your home page and of course most part of the style.css file is not used at all. We are working on a new system to split our style.css files into multiple parts. And then these small pieces will be loaded only on pages where they are used. We hope to decrease the number of styles loaded by 40-60%. This update will be released next week.
