Woodmart plug-in update

Hello,
we have renewed the woodmart licence and would like to update the current plug-in to the last version for our webiste. The person in charge left the company without leaving any instruction about how updating.
From what we understand, we have some personalizations/customizations on the Woodmart them. How can we be sure that once updated, we are not going to loose the personalization? Do you have some recommendations or guidelines to back-up, update and then apply the personalization again?

Clarify, where exactly current customization situated? Is it in the Child theme or in the Parent theme?

We are not sure as we do not have any trace of what has been done previously.
If we share the username and password, are you able to check?

It will be difficult to check in the parent theme. The thing is that the customization that is situated in the Child theme will be saved. Everything that is in the Parent theme will be overridden after the update. If you knew the parts which were overridden in the parent theme, then we could suggest whether it possible to move to the Child theme but if you do not know, it’s difficult as the theme is very big.

In any case, I suggest you move the site to the staging platform and update the staging site to check what exactly you can lose after the update, or maybe everything is in the Child theme and you will not lose anything.
