sg5ParticipantDear customer support,
we have changed in an older woodmart version ( 6.4.2) the translation files. Can we re-use that translation files or has it changed for woodmart 7 ?Thanks

Please restore the site from the background, then save the file correctly not to lose the translation: Here is a video tutorial that should help you translate your website texts with a Loco Translate plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3NsDdMzsls&list=PLMw6W4rAaOgKKv0oexGHzpWBg1imvrval&index=3
Please check the video tutorial to see how to save the translation file correctly. You can remove the plugin and translations would remain. Also, translations would remain after each theme update.
In order to translate the WooCommerce strings, you need to create a separate translation in Loco > Plugins > WooCommerce in the same way as shown in the video.

Thanks, we know how to translate it; the question is if we can re-use the old translation files and overwrite it?
1) Install woodmart 7
2) copy/paste our own translation file from woodmart 6.4.2 ?Thanks

You have not saved the translation file correctly as a result, the file was lost after the update, you need to restore the site from the backup before you updated, then save the translation correctly. Please check the video tutorial to see how to save the translation file correctly. After that, you can update the theme.

No, you would not better use it. Older files do not have all the stings.
