    Hello,
    I install WordPress 5.0 beta version. I can not found VC editor in page edit (Please check screenshot – http://i.prntscr.com/_7N6ryC7T-SjW_MtKbYorw.png). I think your theme does not supportable with WordPress new version now.

    Of course, Gutenberg is a different editor and VC editor is available only in WordPress classic editor mode.

    You can use it only with the classic editor. Try to install classic WordPress editor for WordPress 5.0.
