    Hello,

i have a problem with my woodmart theme.
To date I have used version 5.3.6. Today I tried to update to the latest version.
    I proceeded as follows:
    1. All plugins disabled
    2. changed from child theme to default woodmart
    3. Update from Woodmart -> Successful
    4. Child Theme activated -> WordPress gives me a Fatal error
    5. Restore WP used stating the child theme is corrupt.

Could you please give me additional help. Have system storage locations been changed?

    Many Thanks

    Hello,

Sorry to hear about the inconvenience, as you stated that you were using a very old version of the Theme, so it might be the issue with the Customization done in the Child Theme we suppose which might not be in accordance with the current version of the Theme as the classes might have been changed since the Update.

So, please once try reconsidering your Child Theme customizations or try recreating your Child Theme again > and then copy over the Customizations there and then check back activating the new Child Theme again.

    Best Regards

    Hi,

I found the error and updated to the latest version.
    Everything works.

I got a global custom css from you a long time ago to hide products on the shop page.
    “.post-type-archive .container .woodmart-products-holder {
    display:none;
    }”
Unfortunately, the snippet no longer works with the current version.
Can you give me a modified version please?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello,

We are glad to hear that you were able to manage to find out the resolve for your initial issue yourself. You are great !

Sorry to say but we didn’t get your concern clearly in this regard. On the Shop or Archive pages, Products and Categories are shown. So, you don’t want to show the Products then what exactly you are previewing there? Because if the CSS is applied in this regard to hide Products for the Archive pages, then only the Pagination, Sidebars and Page titles will show there only.

If you don’t want to show Products on the Shop page specifically and just show the Products on the Category pages then WooCommerce provides a default option for it in terms of the Shop page & Category display which you can find under the Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog > there you can find the options accordingly:

    Hi,

ok thanks but I can’t set what I want there.
That’s why you gave me the CSS code back then.

I have the shop page as my homepage with a background on which I don’t want to display any products. The links to the categories are only displayed via the header. For a better understanding, take a look at the shop structure.

    thanks

    Hello,

The CSS that was sent to you earlier, is still working on your Site as we have checked with the Inspect tool and the Products aren’t showing on the Homepage/Shop page of your Site: https://snipboard.io/rFwSsV.jpg

Please check back your Site after completely clearing browser and server cache.

The site you tested is the live site with the old version. To rebuild and test something like this I use a staging environment. The CSS code with the new WM version no longer works. But I got it with detours.

    Hello,

So, can you please confirm if you still have the issue or not?

If yes, then please share the Staging Site WP-ADMIN Login details in the Private Content field that you are referencing so that we can better check this and provide you the Custom CSS if applicable in this regard.
