Wpbakery does not save settings when editing pages, HTML blocks, and other elements, but if you switch to the text editor, change the values, and save, everything is saved.

    Hello,

I have checked your website by editing the Home page with WPBakery. I changed a section title, saved the changes, and confirmed that the updated title was saved successfully.

See the screenshot for clarification: https://postimg.cc/dDg09pK7

I was unable to reproduce the issue. Could you please share the specific page and element where the changes are not being saved, along with a short screen recording demonstrating the issue?

This will help us reproduce the behavior and investigate it further.

    Best Regards,

I’m trying to use a code text editor to combine 2 elements into 1 to make it collapsible, but the changes aren’t taking effect.

    Hello,

If you want to combine two elements into a collapsible section, please try using built-in FAQ (Toggle) element, which allows you to add a title and collapsible content without custom code.

If you prefer a custom implementation, please share the HTML/code you are using so we can check why the changes are not taking effect.

In the previous message, I sent you a link to the page in the editor. Open it and take a look at the content :

However, if you don’t use the code mode and do it in the usual way, everything works properly. But I need to add custom content, since the AI generates it in code.

    Hello,

Looking at the HTML code in your Text Block editor, it consists of standard content tags (, <h2>,<ul>, <img>) wrapped inside browser auto-translation tags (<span dir="auto">). There are no HTML tags for a collapsible container (such as <details> and <summary>) included in that code snippet.

Additionally, pasting raw HTML directly into WPBakery’s default Text Block mode causes WPBakery’s visual parser to automatically sanitize and strip invalid/unsupported HTML structures when switching modes or saving.

To achieve a collapsible section with your content without WPBakery clearing your code, please use one of these two recommended methods:

    1. Use WPBakery’s Built-in Accordion / Toggle Element (Recommended):
    – In the WPBakery Visual Editor, click + and add a Toggle or Accordion element.
    – Edit the element and paste your text, list, and image into the content box.
    – This handles the collapsible animation automatically and natively without requiring raw code.

    2. Use the WPBakery “Raw HTML” Element:
    – If you want to use custom HTML code generated by AI, do not paste it into a standard Text Block.
    – Instead, add a HTML element in WPBakery (+ > HTML).
    – Paste the clean collapsible HTML code (provided above) inside the Raw HTML element box.

Using either the native Toggle element or the Raw HTML element will ensure your changes are saved permanently without getting stripped by WPBakery’s editor parser.

For your clarification, I have added the code at the bottom of the page, so please check your site and see it.

    Best regards,

Yes, I understand about the task and the collapsible content. Right now, that’s not the main thing. I need the text field to work correctly, and in code mode, I should be able to add classes to the text, while my SEO specialist fills it in using a regular editor.

    Hello,

Thank you for the clarification. I understand that the main issue is not the collapsible content itself, but that changes made in the Text/HTML code mode of the WPBakery Text Block are not being preserved, while changes made through the regular editor work correctly.

Please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only theme-required plugins on the site and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is causing the issue for you.

Otherwise, if the issue still exists, keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and let me know so I can check and give you a possible solution.

    Best Regards

I believe the “Advanced Editor Tools” plugin was causing the issue. But I deactivated it, and I can still see its copyrights in the text editor. Could you suggest how I can fix this and remove Advanced Editor Tools?

    Hello,

Thank you for the screenshot and additional information.

I have checked the editor code, and the “POWERED BY TINY” text you see at the bottom is coming from the TinyMCE editor interface. Therefore, this text should not affect the content or the saving of your HTML/code.

If Advanced Editor Tools is already deactivated, you can ignore the “POWERED BY TINY” text. The remaining issue we need to investigate is whether your HTML/code changes are being saved correctly.

Please test the same Text Block again with Advanced Editor Tools deactivated. If the HTML changes are still not preserved, please let us know so we can continue checking the issue.

    Best Regards,
