a.sulich47ParticipantHello,
Some of my products color variations have images, some are only represented by one sample image, but offer all the variations anyway. I need the shop archive to always show attribute swatches’ images, not the variation images but it seems like whenever I set up a variation image they automatically get displayed. I don’t want to remove variation images and I also cannot just set one single Grid swatch attribute to display as I have multiple options for color – upholstery, wood stain, etc. Please, help?

a.sulich47ParticipantHello, sure!
I attached two screenshots, one with the current swatch images on the product page and the other with attribute images I set up in the attribute section. I need the latter to be displayed instead of product images. 🙂

a.sulich47ParticipantHi! I am not sure why I should remove the images if I want them to appear as swatches in the archive and on product pages?

Hung PhamParticipantHi a.sulich47,
Do you want to keep image swatches in the archive and show text swatches in single product page?

a.sulich47ParticipantHi! I don’t need any text swatches. 🙂 I added screenshots.
I need a specific configuration:
1. variation images to be available in the product page gallery -> when you choose a variation while shopping the image changes into the correct variation.
2. attribute images to appear as swatches in both the archive and product page.Attachments:

Hung PhamParticipantHi a.sulich47,
Navigate to Theme Settings > Shop > Variable products and disable the
Use images from product variationsoption, then check how it works. https://monosnap.com/file/w1QHgAKMRkv9d5nPsNsQQPdnXa3DX7Regards,

a.sulich47ParticipantHi! I did that and now my image swatches turned into text swatches in the archive. They display correctly on product pages though.

a.sulich47ParticipantOk I think I fixed it. 🙂 For anybody facing the same issue – I changed Grid swatch attribute to display to a different attribute, saved the product and then changed it back to the one I wanted and saved one more time. The swatches now display correctly.
