    Can I do that in child theme so I do not need to do it again when there is an update for Your theme? If it is possible, please let me know how to do that.

    Unfortunately, you can do this in the child theme since you can’t override this part of the JS file only.

    You are able to override the whole JS file in the child theme. But we don’t suggest you do so since you will not get its update.
