Remove Choose an option from product grid

After upgrading to the last woodmart version and woocommerce 3.8 a disturbing choose an option dropdown appears under each variable product in each category product grid. How do we remove it? we already have the theme variations system in place.

There is this dropdown (Choose an option, new) that works fine if we choose the option and than click the cart button under the product.
But if we only click the cart button under the product, on hover the product variations appear but if we choose one of them it is not possible to do it.
it seems to be like a double choose an option. useless and not working. bad for usability.
I cannot cancel or modify the topic, but like many many users are saying there in the forum the add to cart for product with variations in homepage and categories is broken.

Broken after after update to V 4.2 and broken in 4.2.1 too.
Could you please help us downgrade to 4.1? We are loosing money each day.
At the moment We have choosen to set the “hover on products” to standard, in order to minimize the problem.
