Not able to update Woodmart Theme

    Hi I am not able to update Woodmart theme from 5.2.0 to the latest version. I am getting the error Update failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature””

    I had the same problem with last update which was resolved but the problem has now come back with the new update. Can you please help fix it once and for all?

    Please see post 245919 on November 29, 2020 where I mentioned this problem.

    Hello,

    Try to do the following to update the theme:

    1. Go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Theme License and deactivate the theme.

    2. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.

    3. Activate the theme with your purchase code again.

    4. Try to update the theme via Appearance -> Themes or via Dashboard -> Updates.

    If it does not help, make the full backup of your site and update via FTP https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/update-theme-2/

    If you need help, then provide FTP and admin panel login access to the private area.

    Thanks, that solution worked. But not sure why I am having to do this everytime there is an update. Is there a permanent solution to this? Is there any way to update the theme automatically.

    Hello,

    You are Most Welcome.

    You can update the theme only when an update is available.

    And you can follow the steps above when you try to update the theme then you will not face any issues.

    Hi, I know I can update only when an update is available.

    And I believe the steps you have listed here are only a workaround and not a standard solution to a recurring problem. Once enabled the theme should be able to update automatically whenever an update is released without me having to manually update every time.

    Or is this how you expect the updates to your theme to operate?
