Elise NoromitMemberHello,
What builder do you prefer: Elementor or WP Bakery page builder?
Best Regards
October 12, 2021 at 5:45 pm #324705
ez2021ParticipantElementor please.
Thank you!October 12, 2021 at 11:38 pm #324747
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
The problem is caused by incorrect HTTP and HTTPS configuration: https://domain.com is the actual site URL, however, http://domain.com is used in Dashboard > Settings > General. In this case, it is necessary to configure URLs correctly.
Please reset all and provide the net WordPress installation, I can do it on my own, however, all the access would also be reset and I will have to request valid ones.
Best Regards

ez2021ParticipantElise, thank you!
configure URLs correctly. — how? I tried and can’t understand what you mean.
I‘ve been signing in using this user name and password to edit our website.
I can see my dashboard and setting here: https://domain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=custom-dashboard.php and used https:// in Dashboard > Settings.I can’t follow you well, but we only have this one administrator username. Would you please do whatever you need to do and provide me with all the reset work/information you will complete?
By the way, we can also access the WordPress Admin through the website of the hosting company. Do you need login information for that?
Thanks!

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
The theme has been installed and base demo has been uploaded successfully.
Now you can choose any demo in Dashboard > WoodMart > Base demo > Chose the demo in the right drop-down: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/installation-process/
If you have any questions or difficulties, please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards
October 16, 2021 at 3:25 pm #325684
ez2021ParticipantI followed your instruction, Dashboard > WoodMart > Base demo > Chose the demo in the right drop-down.
(But I can’t see “Base demo”. I guess that is WoodMart > Base import)> Chose the demo in the right drop-down.
I have set up version, Organic.
Should I click “activate base version”? on the left? Or you have done it?By the way, the link you provided above, https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/installation-process/
I don’t see those things mentioned in this instruction link.
Under “woodmart” menu > no child theme set up, no “page builder”…
Where to set up child theme? Thanks!
October 17, 2021 at 9:17 am #325765
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
If you are not going to customize the theme you do not need the child theme.
When demo does you want to upload? I see you have successfully uploaded the demo.

ez2021ParticipantDo you mean that we all set here? Finally! thank you so much for your support!!
But I still have some questions. I do want to double check with you:
Below are info. and my questions from this link: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/installation-process/
1, As soon as the WoodMart theme has been installed and activated correctly, a step-by-step wizard appears, suggesting six tabs: “Activation”, “Child theme”, “Page builder”, “Plugins”, “Demo”, “Done”.
–I didn’t see the wizard and six tabs. Does that mean you/I have done those works? Or Everything is fine, I can ignore that info.?2, In order to upload the demo content, all the plugins related to the theme should be installed
and activated.
— I saw you have installed and activated some plugins related. Thanks!3, Make the full backup before uploading the demo on the existing site!
— Did you do the full backup?
Uploading the demo would reset all the theme settings and there is no option to set them back.
— It seems like this is very important. WHY it was put at the end of this instruction?
Please help me to check if everything is going well.4,First of all, it is necessary to set up the base version on the left and then chose the desired demo on the right.”
— I only did the second part, choose the desired demo on the right.
But I didn’t click “activate base version” on the left.
Because I saw the message on the left: “Base dummy content is successfully imported and installed.”
Does it mean ‘activate base version’ this step was done?5, “Now you can choose any version to apply its settings for your website or leave a default one. You are be able to switch to default version settings any time.”
— “any version” here means demo version, not base version, right?
— a default one? what is the default one?
to switch to default version settings any time.
— Where is the default version option for switching later? Thanks!

Elise NoromitMemberHello!
Or Everything is fine, I can ignore that info.?Please ignore the message, everything has been installed, if you upload another demo all the current settings would be reset.
2, In order to upload the demo content, all the plugins related to the theme should be installed
and activated.
— I saw you have installed and activated some plugins related. Thanks!Yes, otherwise demo uploading is not possible.
3, Make the full backup before uploading the demo on the existing site!
— Did you do the full backup?
Uploading the demo would reset all the theme settings and there is no option to set them back.
— It seems like this is very important. WHY it was put at the end of this instruction?
Please help me to check if everything is going well. No, I have not made any backups. Now you would better contact the host support and find out how to configure the automatic backups and you would better force backup before demo uploading, any new plugins installation, or WordPress/theme/plugins update.
4,First of all, it is necessary to set up the base version on the left and then chose the desired demo on the right.”
— I only did the second part, choose the desired demo on the right.Yes, I have already uploaded the base demo on the left and you could upload the demo on the right.
5, “Now you can choose any version to apply its settings for your website or leave a default one. You are be able to switch to default version settings any time.”
— “any version” here means demo version, not base version, right?
— a default one? what is the default one?If you click “Base version” on the left, you will get this result: https://woodmart.xtemos.com/ the products, pages, posts, would be yours all the settings and views would as per the demo. You can switch any demo from the right, you can click anything now as you have not configured your site just to see how it works, and remember if you want to set the base version or any demo your current settings would be lost. So if you want to keep them, make the backups and export the theme settings.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

ez2021Participant“No, I have not made any backups. Now you would better contact the host support and find out
how to configure the automatic backups and you would better force backup before demo uploading,
any new plugins installation, or WordPress/theme/plugins update.”— Thank you for teaching me this.
Does that mean I’d better to set all those installations and updates manually to avoid automatic updating.—Our hosting plan provides automatic daily backup in the mornings.
But since I already uploaded demo before a backup, all the theme settings were reset already, and there is no option to set them back.—In my case, what should I do now? Should we go through all these again?
“Base version” on the left—> back up—>export the theme settings —> install plugins —> upload demo.
OR should we need to start from installing wordpress and woocommerce? You said: “If you click “Base version” on the left, you will get this result: https://woodmart.xtemos.com/ the products, pages, posts, would be yours all the settings and views would as per the demo. So if you want to keep them, make the backups and export the theme settings.”
— Please teach how to export the theme settings.
— But in my case, How can I export the theme settings that were reset ?
Thanks!

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
— Thank you for teaching me this.
Does that mean I’d better to set all those installations and updates manually to avoid automatic updating? The theme is not updated by itself. The theme is updated after you press “Update”.
—Our hosting plan provides automatic daily backup in the mornings.
But since I already uploaded demo before a backup, all the theme settings were reset already, and there is no option to set them back. That is fine, and that is enough.
—In my case, what should I do now? Should we go through all these again?
“Base version” on the left—> back up—>export the theme settings —> install plugins —> upload demo.
OR should we need to start from installing wordpress and woocommerce? You have already the Base version. Now, if you want to switch and try the different demo, you need to export the Theme Settings and choose the demos on the right drop-down.
In order to export the Theme Settings, you need to go to the Theme Settings > Export/Import/Reset, press “Export” https://gyazo.com/1efd871d01adc2f7aa3b2a28d9d25521 you will have the file downloaded if you want to import the Theme Settings from the file, open this file in any editor, notepad, notepad++, copy all content and insert in the field shown on the screen and press “Import”
If you have reset the Theme Settings, you cannot export settings that were before the reset.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards

ez2021Participant1, Thanks. does that mean, I still can export theme settings even it is not the original one, and it is still usable. If anything bad happened, I may need to reinstall the theme I purchased.
2, Some buttons on main page still don’t link to right pages. Would you please teach us how to fix /link them.
Below buttons on main page don’t work:
“view more”, “shop now” (see attached pic.1 and 2).
all bottons (see pic.3).
“view more”, “go to shop”, (see pic.4).Thanks!

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You need to edit this content, and the buttons that assume adding a URL should be linked.
You can export theme settings any time you need when you want to use them or restore them, if changes you are making are not important, and made just for testing, you can do them without any backups and settings export.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
