Woocommerce Single Product Variation Image Change

Hello,
Each product variation has an image assigned, and changing the product option should change the gallery image. However, Woodmart theme (not child) is not doing this correctly. It is replacing the first thumbnail.
This feature is working correctly on our site with theme Twenty Twenty-One but not Woodmart theme.

It is how our theme works with WooCommerce by default. Could you please switch to the default theme on your staging website so we can see how it works?

FYI we had exactly the same issue with W3TC previously. We had to turn off their CDN function to correct the problem.

Your theme core plugin, and woocommerce are now the only plugins active.

Yes, you are right. It is how the default WooCommerce gallery works.
But our theme works a bit differently. It has a lot of extra functionality and we replaced the standard WooCommerce gallery completely. But we will consider implementing this feature in our future updates as well.

Will you definitely restore this woocommerce feature? As it stands it looks pretty bad for our use case.
If so, when would you expect to be able to release a patch/update?
We are targeting late August for completion and going live with a new site.

It is not about restoring this feature because our theme has its own gallery functionality.
But yes, we will consider implementing this option in our theme’s gallery as well. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that it will be implemented very soon.
