Use images from product variations

    Shop>Variable products>Use images from product variations, states “Swatches buttons will be filled with images chosen for product variations”. This only seems to work if ‘Color swatch’ is left empty in attribute terms. If a color is defined in ‘Color swatch’, this color is displayed in the widget filter, shop and product pages.

    I need a solution whereby the product variation image is used for shop and product page swatches, but have the widget color filter display the color defined in Products>Attributes>Color>’Color swatch’.

    Hello,

    Sorry to hear about the inconvenience.

    Actually, the thing is if for the Color Attribute you have defined the Color as well as enabled the following option “Use images from product variations” from the Theme Settings then the Color defined on the Attribute will take precedence. So, if you want to use the Images from Product Variations option then you would need to remove the Colors defined for the Color Attribute. This is how the default functionality works under the Theme for these options. Hope you can understand.
