Product attribute swatches

    How can I make all my products “size” attribute show as text boxes and all my color attributes show as product image?

    I have enabled swatches settings for it but it only appears that way on the shop page.

    Regarding the sizes shown as text, is there a way to mass assign, the entire size attribute category to be shown as text?

    Hello Elise,

    Let me say that again, I need two things.
    1) Image swatches do not work on product page
    2) How to MASS assign text swatches to attributes. There are 500+ size attributes, I do not want to do that 500 times, I want to set all “size” attributes to show as text boxes.

    Woocommerce does not allow assigning the attributes in bulk, unfortunately, and WoodMart does not either.

    Hello Elise,

    1) Use images from product variations is set, the images should be from the product not dropdowns. It works in the shop page why won’t it in the product page as well.
    2) Via the database perhaps?

    You can see everything works properly, but you did not select the correct attribute as described in the manual https://monosnap.com/file/bGckQZdxWRYjGURVm8WEUsMfKGqzkF

    In addition, you did not select any swatch: https://monosnap.com/file/j3PdIshJ3wrKdgkt4Sc2SR6FeJmdBT that caused the issue.

    We do not recommend assigning mass attributes via database as it is dangerous for the site. Unfortunately, it is not possible to set attributes in bulk.

    Hello Elise, thanks for all the info.

    Grid swatch attribute to display: color was selected

    This was missing: Oh now I get it, text-swatch needs to be enabled for all, despite the “show variation images” for it to show at product level. This is super confusing for me, especially when there is the “image-swatch” option for images. One should be able to set that option via theme settings without setting everything to “text-swatch” in my opinion.

    I also wonder why it is not possible to set attributes swatch settings globally and only individually by terms. This should definitely to be an option since it saves lot of time, most swatches plugins have it.

    Hello,

    Initially, the attribute is a Wooommerce functionality, and the attribute works this way. Our developers cannot change the default behavior, they only customized the attribute a bit.

    Attribute by its nature, by its default nature is assigned and configured individually, we cannot change that, unfortunately.

    As for the bulk assignment, please try to search for a plugin, we have not met any, perhaps something is there.
