supp0rtParticipantHello,
I used the Loco translation and followed the guide here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/translate-woodmart-theme-with-loco-translate/. The translations were working as expected, but on the previous update of the theme, it stopped working. I synced the translation and I can still see the translated strings appear, but not in the front end. Also added a temporary access token. Do not make any changes as this is the live site.
Can you assist me on this one?
Best Regards

Hung PhamKeymasterHi supp0rt,
Thanks for reaching to us and appreciate your patience.
+ In order to change / translate words. Please make sure you synced the strings first before changing / translating WooCommerce, WoodMart Core plugins and WoodMart theme. You can refer to article https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/theme-translation/
+ You are also need to select the language for the backend and theme settings for admin from the admin user profile, please edit the user’s profile and then select the language for that user it will show the same on the backend.
Regards,

supp0rtParticipantThank you for your reply.
I translated the strings and all the files are in place and synced. It is focused more on the front end.
Here is a snippet where you can see the files synced and set in Greek. https://snipboard.io/7YAjsM.jpg.I have selected the language on the backend as the correct one (Greek in my case) but still, the translated strings do not appear on the front end. For example, SKU is translated and also is the word in stock. Both appear in English.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do. If you need a staging site to test something, just let me know.

Hung PhamKeymasterHi supp0rt,
To assist you in the best possible manner, I kindly ask that you please provide me temporary wp-admin info (wp-admin URL, username, password) and screenshots that illustrate the problem to the Private Content area, this will allow me to thoroughly investigate and address your concerns more efficiently.

supp0rtParticipantI have provided the admin access in the private content area.
You can go to the Loco translation plugin and you can check that there is a translation in Greek, but in the front end, everything that is related to the theme appears in English and is untranslated.
Let me know if you need any more information about that. Screenshots are not needed as the problem above appears on the shop page and also on the home page. Check the product carousels etc.
Let me know if you need anything else.
This is a testing site, so let me know before you make any changes.
Best Regards

Hung PhamKeymasterHi supp0rt,
You need to change the location of the translated files via Loco Translate > Themes/Plugins > in the
Relocate
tab set the location that is through the loco subfolder.Kind Regards,

supp0rtParticipantThank you for the reply.
So you change the Greek or the English .po file? Because the Greek one that contains the translations, is set to the system subfolder and not the loco subfolder.
Here is the screenshot inside the relocate tab -> https://snipboard.io/HQhUl8.jpg
You can see that it is set to the system subfolder. Let me know if I understand something wrong here.

Hung PhamKeymasterHi supp0rt,
I did not change translations and relocate does not affect to translations as well.
Please read more here https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/faqs/custom-folder

supp0rtParticipantOk. So I did what you suggested above. I relocated the translations to the languages/loco/themes/.
Screenshot of the relocation: https://snipboard.io/ePHqQy.jpgAfter doing so the problem reappeared.
Based on the FAQ that you provided it says that if the subfolder above does not work, try to move it to wp-content/languages/themes/. (System folder – might be deleted if WordPress core gets an update).
I quote directly from the FAQ you provided: This is the standard (unsafe) WordPress location. If this location works, then the problem may be in the theme/plugin that loads the file..
I have also pasted a link on the private content area, of the shop page, where you can see the text in English and untranslated.
Something seems not right here. Can you please check this with the developer? Might be something else that creates the problem.
Best Regards

Sorry for wrong link, I re-located the translation files to System and it worked as you see before.

supp0rtParticipantHello,
You re-located the translation files on your end or the site? Also Please inform the developer that the translations will not load if the files are not saved inside the System. As per Loco’s documentation, this should not happen.

Hung PhamKeymasterHi supp0rt,
It depends on each site, in other customers’s sites, translations work with other location, it’s not urgent problem. You can also make download translations to make a backup, delete it and re-upload till it works.
Hope it helps.
