    Good day, Please help!
I just purchased your theme for the second time (for new website) 🙂 , and I want to import the “Dark” demo (see screenshot), but I need the Home page to look like the “Games Dark” demo home page, and the About Us page to look like the “Hardware” demo home page.
Can you please help me set this up? how I can save the other 2 home page as template and use them for the main demo.. please help!!!

NOTE : WP Dashboard > Settings > Your homepage displays:
I didn’t set the actual homepage because I don’t want them to see it every time they check the dashboard… Even though I’m working under construction mode, they have access to dashboard. just wanted to let you know so you don’t think I made a mistake.

If it’s not possible to use the 2 demo homepages one for the Home page, one for the About Us page, then please provide those sections as Elementor templates so I can use them across different pages, all with a dark background. (see attached screenshots)

If it is possible to use these homepages:

    Games – Home Dark https://woodmart.xtemos.com/games/home-dark/

    Hardware Demo https://woodmart.xtemos.com/demo-hardware/?opt=hardware

I’d like to use one for the Home page and one for the About Us page.

Also, could you please guide me on how to set up the same header and footer from the demos? After importing the demo, the header and footer didn’t change. I’d like them to match the demo exactly… could you please share the instructions?

I imported this demo: https://woodmart.xtemos.com/games/home-dark/ but I only want to use it for the home page. For the shop and single product pages, I’d like a different layout with better filters and options, similar to this shop page: https://woodmart.xtemos.com/shop/?opt=no_page_heading
and this single product page: https://woodmart.xtemos.com/shop/accessories/smart-watches-wood-edition/ but with a dark background.

Basically, I imported the demo just for the home page, while I want different layout styles for the other pages. Could you PLEASE provide some Elementor sections as templates so I can reuse and customize them as I want? if yes let me know to share with you which sections

It’s been 2 days now Monday and Tuesday and I still haven’t received any reply to my tickets. This is the second time I’ve purchased this theme, but now I’m not getting any support. No one has checked or responded to my tickets for 2 days.

    Hello,

To import elements from other demos, we recommend creating a staging site first so your live site remains unaffected:
    https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/

Once the staging site is ready, you can import the additional demos there and copy or export the specific sections or templates you want to use on your main website.

Alternatively, you can use the WoodMart template library to import only the elements you need, You can explore and import templates directly from here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/templates-library/

This approach allows you to mix layouts (for example, use the “Games Dark” homepage and “Hardware” sections) and customize your site with a consistent dark background theme.

When I create the staging site, how can I import specific sections as Elementor templates? Can you show me the instructions?
Also, is there a way to do it without creating a staging site , maybe an easier way?

    Hello,

When you import any demo on your staging site, you can easily transfer the specific pages or sections you need in a few ways:

        Using Elementor Import/Export Tools
Go to Tools > Export/Import to export an entire page, or open the page in Elementor and copy/paste the section directly to your live site.
        Exporting Elementor Templates
With Elementor’s built-in template tools, you can export the required sections or templates and import them into another site.
You can find full instructions here:
        https://elementor.com/help/template-library
If you prefer not to create a staging site, you can instead import the demo on any development site or directly import .

Otherwise, You can import the relevant sections from the WoodMart Template Library.

This allows you to get only the layouts you need without affecting your live website.

So there’s no way to import these sections exactly like in the screenshots with the black background as Elementor templates, without using a staging site?

    Hello,

For one template, you can find it in the template library and import it in the page.

For the other pages, share the wp logins details of your main site so I will check and import the pages on your site.

    any updates?

    #692138

    Hello,

    01. Navigate to Pages > check the “Games – Home Dark” page.

    02. For the about us page, navigate to WoodMart > Prebuilt Websites > Additional pages > Import the about us page template.

    03. The demo you’re activated uses custom layouts for the shop (archive) and single product pages.

To make your pages look like the demo you shared.

    • Go to Dashboard > Layouts and disable the custom layout assigned to the archive pages and single product.
    • Once disabled, you’ll see the default WooCommerce layout applied.
    • You can then customize the design and settings from Theme Settings > Shop and Theme Settings > Product Archive and single product to achieve the desired look.

    04. Your previous demo is not imported correctly b,ut you already have content in the site. Our dummy content works only on a fresh installation. If you have some content already, it will conflict with your existing posts, and most of the content will not be imported correctly.

Good day! thank you, you’re the best!
So there’s no way to import the demo correctly with the right header, footer, and all the demo sections ? without removing my existing content?

I already have 237 products on the website, and I can’t delete them for a fresh start. is there really no other way to import the full demo (with the correct layout) without deleting my products?

I’ve solved the header and footer issues, but now the child theme is missing. Is there any solution for that? Is it okay to keep it like this without a child theme, or is having a child theme necessary?

If I make any changes now without a child theme, will that be a problem?

    Hello,

If you’re not planning to make code-level changes (like editing PHP files or overriding theme templates), it’s fine to continue without a child theme.

However, if you intend to add custom functions, modify theme files, we recommend installing and activating the Woodmart child theme to ensure your customizations are preserved after theme updates.

You can download it from our website and install it as per the instructions https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/setup-child-theme/
