Elementor Shop Page Editing Issue – Content Area Not Found

    Hello Woodmart Support Team,

    I am facing an issue while trying to edit my WooCommerce Shop page using Elementor.

    Whenever I click “Edit with Elementor” on the Shop page, I get the following error message:

    “Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call the ‘the_content’ function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.”

    I have already tested this by deactivating all third-party plugins, but the issue still persists, so it does not appear to be caused by any plugin conflict.

    This problem only occurs on the Shop page. Other pages work fine with Elementor.

    Hello,

    You cannot edit these functional pages with Elementor directly. Try to use the Theme’s Layout Builder, you can create Custom Layouts for WooCommerce pages like Shop, Category, Single Product page, Cart, and Checkouts and for portfolio pages. You can use that to create your own custom layouts for these pages.

    Hello Woodmart Support Team,

    Thanks for the solution. I appreciate it.

    I’m facing another issue with the footer in the Woodmart theme.

    Earlier, I accidentally removed or replaced the default Woodmart footer and created a custom footer using Elementor. Now I want to revert back to the original default Woodmart footer, exactly as it was, without affecting any of my other theme customizations or settings.

    Could you please guide me on:

    How to disable or remove the Elementor-based footer

    How to restore or reassign the default Woodmart footer layout

    I only want to restore the footer to the default Woodmart one. Everything else on the site is already customized and working fine.

    Looking forward to your guidance.

    Hello,

    Navigate to Theme Settings > Footer > choose the Footer content “Widgets. Depending on the number of the columns, you will have a different number of widget areas for the footer in Appearance->Widgets: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/set-up-footer/
