robin-6112ParticipantHello,
I desperately need help with translating my site. Despite following every single step and option detailed in your documentation, nothing works and my site remains completely in English.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
– Followed ALL translation steps from the official documentation
– Used Loco Translate plugin as recommended
– Manually uploaded .po and .mo files to theme and his child-theme
– Set WordPress language to French in Settings → General
– Do the update langage
– Verified language files are properly named (fr_FR.po / fr_FR.mo)
– Cleared all caches (browser, WordPress, server)RESULT: The site remains 100% in English. No translations appear anywhere.
I’ve exhausted all options mentioned in your documentation and spent hours troubleshooting. I really need assistance to get this working.
Could you please provide:
– Step-by-step debugging guidance
– Common issues that might cause complete translation failure
– Any known conflicts with specific plugins/settingsMy setup:
– Theme: Woodmart
– WordPress Version: 6.9.1
– Elementor Version: 3.35.4
– PHP Version: 8.2
– Active Translation Plugin: Loco Translate
– Target Language: French (fr_FR)Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
RobinAttachments:

Note:
1. Custom (recommended)
2. This is Loco’s protected folder under “wp-content/languages/loco/” which is safe from automatic updates and provides priority over the above locations. If this folder doesn’t exist you may need to create it and ensure it has the correct permissions.
