business-7857ParticipantI’m running into a few issues with WoodMart/WooCommerce archive behavior and I’d appreciate your help troubleshooting.
Question 1 – Product archive settings saved but not reflected on the frontend
I made the following changes and clicked Save options each time:
Theme Settings → Product archive → Products grid
Number of columns selector: OFF
Products per page links: OFFTheme Settings → Product archive → Shop filters
Shop filters: ON
Shop filters area always opened: ONTheme Settings → Product archive → Sidebar
Sidebar layout: Full width (the first option)After saving, I also cleared cache via Breeze, but the Shop/archive page still doesn’t update correctly on the frontend (see attached screenshot).
Question 2 – Difference between “General → Sidebar” and “Product archive → Sidebar”
I noticed there is also a sidebar option under Theme Settings → General.
What is the scope difference between:General → Sidebar, and
Product archive → Sidebar?
Which one takes priority on Shop / product category / tag archive pages?

01. Actually, with some of the demos, there are certain Custom Layouts enabled for the Single Product and Archive pages, which is why your made changes under the Theme Settings aren’t taking effect on that.
Navigate to Layouts > Edit product archive layout and remove the widgets from the layout which you want to hide.
Further, you can read more about the Layout Builder here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/woodmart-woocommerce-layout-builder/
02. Theme Settings > General > Sidebar
This setting controls the default sidebar position for standard pages. It acts as a global fallback setting.
Product archive > SidebarThis setting specifically controls the sidebar position for WooCommerce archive pages, including Shop page, Product category pages, Product tag pages and Product attribute archives

I understand your point clearly now. I am trying my best to explain it to you.
WoodMart’s Elementor Product Archive layout blocks like Archive Description and WooCommerce Notices are dynamic WooCommerce elements that only render specific content on the frontend when conditions are met.
Archive Description: This pulls from the Description field of the specific category you are viewing. If you are on the main “Shop” page, it pulls from the “Description” field of the shop page itself (under Pages > Shop).
If the category description box is empty in Products > Categories, the block renders nothing.
WooCommerce Notices: This is a system-level block. It handles messages like “Product added to cart” or “No products found.”
It only appears conditionally. If there are no active alerts or errors to show the user at that exact moment, the block remains invisible to keep the UI clean.
Active Filters: This displays the “chips” or labels of filters the user has already selected (e.g., “Color: Blue”).
It will never show on the initial page load. It only renders once a user interacts with your sidebar filters and applies a selection.
Category Extra Description: This is a Woodmart-specific feature. If you edit a Product Category (Products > Categories), scroll down to the Woodmart options. You will see a field for “Description for category (after product grid).”
This is specifically meant for SEO text that you want at the bottom of the page. If that specific field is empty in the backend, the block won’t show.
You can read all the details in the theme documentation as well:
