Elementor Product Countdown Timer Not Working with Scheduled Sale Dates

    Hello,
I’m currently working on an older WoodMart website and giving it a fresh new look. As part of the redesign, I’ve switched from WPBakery to Elementor.

However, I’ve encountered what seems to be either a bug or a missing feature in one of the widgets.

I’m building a new single product page layout in Elementor, and it’s essential for me to display a countdown timer based on the scheduled sale price dates of the product. Unfortunately, the Elementor Countdown Timer widget appears to only use a simple static date picker and does not dynamically follow the product’s scheduled discount period.

Am I missing something, or is this functionality not currently available in the Elementor version of the widget?

I noticed that when Gutenberg is enabled, there is a Product Countdown widget that works as expected and correctly follows the scheduled sale dates. However, I need the Elementor widget to behave in the same way.

Could you please advise if there is a way to achieve this in Elementor, or if this is a limitation of the widget?

    Thanks,
    Stefan

    Hello,

Elementor’s Countdown widget only supports a static date and doesn’t connect with WooCommerce sale schedules.

For a dynamic product-based countdown, please use WoodMart’s built-in Countdown Timer instead. It automatically works with scheduled sale dates.

Please follow this how it works: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/product-sale-countdown/

    Hi Aizaz,

    Thank you for your answer!

I don’t see a widget called Product countdown as per your screenshot here:

Since I am working on custom Product layout I need to insert a widget to the template and enabling the Countdown timer from theme’s settings simply doesn’t work.

Is there a way to have the countdown timer in custom Product layout?

    Thanks,
    Stefan

    Hello,

I see you are currently using an Elementor Pro single product template, which is why the WoodMart dynamic widgets (like the Product Countdown based on sale schedule) are not appearing there.

These WoodMart product widgets work inside WoodMart Theme Layouts, not inside Elementor Pro’s native product templates.

    Please switch to:
WoodMart > Layouts > Single Product Layout
and build your product page using the WoodMart layout builder. Then add the Product Countdown widget, which will automatically follow the WooCommerce scheduled sale dates.

Further, you can read more about the Layout Builder here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/woodmart-woocommerce-layout-builder/

OK, thanks a lot for looking at this issue.
I am now going to recreate the template in the Woodmart native way.

    Hi again,

I was able to recreate the Product template inside Woodmart Theme Layouts, but there is still a problem with Countdown widget.

It is working as expected but only for Simple products, not for Variations products. I have checked the option in Single product options for “Countdown for variable products” but it doesn’t seem to effect the template. When I change the product to simple the countdown is shown on the frontend. (See attached images)

Any idea how to make it works with variable products?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

In the first variation of the variable products, you need to add the sale price to show a countdown for the variable product.

“Edit the GAIA – for good digestion and intestinal health” product and in the first variations set the schedule or drag the other variation which has a sale price first and check how it works.

OK, thanks for the idea – it is kind of a work around which isn’t best though.

Another problem I encountered after I switch from Elementor templates to native WoodMart Layouts is that the product tabs (widget) isn’t displayed on mobile devices. I double checked CSS rules and settings and all looks fine. I tried to add another widget in the area and it’s visible but Product tabs aren’t there. Can you please have a look at this?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Please try to use our theme product tabs widget in the single product layout and see its showing.
