You say you added the slider in the header. Did you customize the header? Make the full backup of your site and remove the customization. Our support does not cover fixing customization bugs.

You can add the slider to the first row of all the pages. This is the correct slider adding.

As for the categories pages. You can create HTML block, add the slider: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/html-blocks-2/

Then add this HTML block to the categories pages: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/html-blocks-2/#cat_att_tag

The slider would stay even when you filter the products.
