Sorry for the late reply. I think you misunderstand the theme feature Variation as a product in the Theme settings >> Shop >> Variable products. When you enable this option: https://pasteboard.co/Y37i0HVMzrHA.png

Then the swatch color, and size options will show on the grid products on the shop page: https://pasteboard.co/Kg0NGmuTpPmo.png

When you enable this option then it will show each variation as a separate product on the shop page. You need to resave variable products to make this option work. You can do this separately or using the bulk edit function. Read more information in our documentation:
