The categories widget is located in Appearance -> Widgets -> Shop page widget area -> Categories – https://monosnap.com/file/EJ2CMVwp1GFG7HRn82LGe3Ikckwgfi
There are options to customize the categories.
Please, clarify the issue that is related to categories that are not shown.
