Accordian tabs changes page URL
-
Hi there,
I noticed that when I add accordian tabs to a page, it appends a unique identifier to the URL, similar to this: 1580316103521-74222bb3-6c87
My issue is that this might count as duplicate content for search engines. What are your thoughts? Is there any way we can stop this from changing the page URL?
Thanks in advance
Hello,
Enter the section and replace this https://prnt.sc/qur0w1 for your unique IDs. Usually, WP Bakery page builder generates unique IDs.

Hello Elise,
Yes but whatever “unique ID” I enter will be added on to the end of my page URL, making “duplicate content” for the same page. Google basically will see 5 different URLs for the same page content. That is what I am worried about.
If I could leave the ID blanket would be great, but that does not work. What are your thoughts about this duplicate content issue?
Many thanks
Hello,
This is the WP Bakery page builder functionality and our theme does not influence that. You can hide from index these duplicated pages in the Google console.

Thanks for the reply. I guess also set a canonical with an SEO plugin.. that might work too….
