Add a New Field to Shipping Address on Checkout Page

I would like to add a new field for customers to fill in the phone numbers of addressee, along with the shipping name and address, which is essential for the shipping companies. I wonder how it can be done.

Unfortunately, the checkout page is related to WooCommerce so we cannot influent it, but you can try to use the plugin below that can help adjust the fields on that page.

That plugin has some problems with my site, and I am trying to resolve them.

What should I do if I want to modify the placeholder in the order comment textarea. So that I can prompt customers to fill in phone numbers there.

Since I am using traditional Chinese and the placeholder is already translated, the messages cannot be found in Loco Translate.
I suppose I should change it with a PHP code snippet, or I will have edit woocommerce-zh_TW.po

I finally get the plugin ‘Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce’ to work on my site. It was in conflict with another plugin.
Here comes another problem. How could I add the fields to order details page in wp-admin? Because the modification of Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce is not reflected accordingly on this page.

Sorry to say but right now there is no option in Theme Settings available for that. It requires Customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy scope.
