Add to Cart function not working properly

Hello,

I have been facing some issues with my website especially with Add to Cart function. On the products page the Add to Cart icon does not work and instead takes the user to The product details page.

If you check the Error Console on Products page like this one:

You will see this error there in console:

On the product details page even if you select the size for the product it does not get added the first time but throws a warning if we try purchasing this product:

Please choose product options by visiting Buckingham Solid NZ Heart Rimu Couch.

After that if you select the size again and use Add to Cart button the product gets added and the error is gone from the Error Console as well.

You can see how irritating that can be, so can you please look into it and fix it as soon as possible.

Also, can you please keep me in loop about any changes that you may have to do so that I am aware of the changes in case that results in any other problem.

As for the errors:
Please make the full backup of your site as well as the Theme settings export and check the issue on the Storefront theme to detect if our theme causes the problem. Storefront is a free theme developed by Woocommerce.

If you see the same on the Storefront, deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and switch the parent theme, check the issue, If the problem has gone, activate the plugins one by one, checking the issue to detect which one causes the problem.

As for the option to add to cart from the grid:
You need to set the prices for each product. If you want to product to have the option to select the size you need to configure the item as a variable product. https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/variable-products-swatches/

For a second please forget that Error Console.

I am just curious to know that why did the Cart Button on products page does not Add product to Cart anymore and why instead it takes the user to the Product Details page.

As far as I know it should add a product to Cart automatically without going to Product Details page. Can you please look into that part as it seems you kind of ignored that.

I will look into the explanation for the second one but as far as I know I have configured all the products the way they should be.

That is why requested you to have a look.

I even added default values to the options but still I was having the same error.

Please Enable AJAX add to cart buttons on archives in Woocommerce > Settings > Products.

Also, enable AJAX shop in the Theme Settigns > Shop

Thanks for your response but I have done that already as I am aware of the settings needed. That is why I asked you to look into it as it was not working as it is supposed to be.

I am attaching the screen-shots for your reference though so that you can check that they are enabled so settings are not the problem here.

About your response to the Grid issue:

I don’t want to use the Swatch as I want to show the options as drop-down but if you please read my messages carefully you will see that everything works fine but when you select the variation second time. The first time it gives that error.

Hope that clarifies the situation a bit. I will really appreciate if you can find the cause of this and make the theme work as it is supposed to be.

Couple of more things that may be helpful here:

1) I started facing this issue when I updated to WordPress 5.6

2) I am not able to update the theme from the dashboard to the latest version

So please can you help me to fix these issues as soon as possible.

Hello,

Try to do the following to update the theme:

1. Go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Theme License and deactivate the theme.

2. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.

3. Activate the theme with your purchase code again.

4. Try to update the theme via Appearance -> Themes or via Dashboard -> Updates.

If it does not help, make the full backup of your site and update via FTP https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/update-theme-2/

If you need help, provide site admin access as well as FTP access to the private area.
