I would like to have different images for every single variation and a different image for the main parent product. So when selecting a variation, only the images of that variation should be visible.
At the moment there is a thumbnail image and a gallery image set for a parent product but when selecting a variation the gallery image of the parent is visible additionally to the variation image.
I try to explain with an example. I have a t-shirt that we can call ‘A’. This product has 3 variations A1, A2, A3.
When I first open the product page I can see the ‘parent product’ A -> what I see is the main image and the preview of the product gallery. Then, by clicking, I can select a variation and now I see A1 or A2 or A3. Looking at the A1 variation if I don’t set any Variation image gallery) I can see the parent Variation Image and all the images from the parent product. That is not good, because I would like to see only images of that specific variation (for example a red t-shirt). The only way to avoid it, is to set in the product variation some variation Gallery Images. So that can be good if I really need them (for example front and rear of the A1 variation), but if my variation has just one image, then I need to add an useless image.
What settings are necessary to get my desired behavior?
I’ve searched a lot but i didn’t find any setting to do that.
Many thanks
