Basel theme

I need support for a Basel theme installed last year. I bought the theme so that I can get support. I can no longer work in wordPress on this site when I go to the page I get updating failed with code. Images no longer display correctly. It seems the latest update for WordPress has damaged the functionnality of the site. There used to be an image displaying in the background as we scroll down. This image disappeared recently without our intervention.

Make sure you have:

1. Update to the recent theme version;

2. Update all the relevant plugins;

3. Deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme;

4. Switch to the parent theme if you run a child one.

5. Check your site.
