Breadcrumb product category order

Hi,

The display of product category breadcrumb order is alphabetical each time, despite that I reordered the categories.

Anyway to get the order of the categories like are set up here:

wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=product_cat&post_type=product ?

Or have another solution for ordering priorities of categories for breadcrumbs.

Do you mean our categories navigation on the shop page or woocommerce breadcrumbs? In case of breadcrumbs there is no way to change the order there. You can even check with standard wordpress theme, it is WooCommerce functionality and we can’t handle it.

Yes the woocommerce breadcrumbs…

There must be a way to over-ride this at a theme level.. the woocommerce breadcrumbs can reordered as you see in the link I gave, so if the backend can display the order so can the theme on the frontend.

It is important for us as in French it is putting everything into the first category alphabetically – femme – which for unisex products it should be the first category not the gender category…

We’ll look at writing a function for the ordering of breadcrumbs.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any instruction how you can change the order of the woocommerce breadcrumbs. Yes, you are able to override breadcrumb template in the theme. But it won’t allow you to change the order, only some template changes.
