cant make custom fonts work

I believe followed all the steps here

Including converting both to woof and woff2 uploading/reloading setting Custom font families in my Typography dropdowns, but I cannot see them loaded

googleapis is still loaded in the page

Two more questions:
1. I see Roboto and Open Sans loaded via googleapis as well. I do not know where they are set. Maybe Revslider?
2. Can I use material icons as a custom font as well, can’t I?

You need to use typography settings under Theme Settings >> Typography to use your uploaded font on the site.

1) The font is used in different places on your website. As in my screenshot it is used as the default font family.

2) Please elaborate with the help of some relevant screenshot of the specific area to check it myself and help you out accordingly.
