Can't Use Home Screen Pop Up Login

So when users use the home page login as seen in photo 1, it doesn’t log them in and instead takes them to mysite.com/my-account NOT signed in. I’m able to sign in from mysite.com/my-account BUT it takes 2 attempts to login which is unacceptable.

Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and switch the parent theme, check the issue, if the problem remains, leave the plugins not activated and provide the site admin access to the private area
