Category Icons

Hello and apologies if this has been asked a hundred times! I purchased Woodmart in the past few days, so I’m new to the theme and to WordPress generally, so I’m learning quickly how this all works. My question is how to correctly insert icons for each main menu category. Is there a guide I can refer to?
I’ve tried inserting icon names from the font awesome collection, but this just causes some white space to the left of the Category name – no icon shows. I’m obviously doing something wrong and would be glad of some direction. The attached image shows one place I’ve tried. Love the theme by the way!

Please choose the free icon from https://fontawesome.com/icons?d=gallery and insert this part fas fa-bus

If it does not work, set “Always use” in the Theme Settings > Performance > CSS > Font Awesome

Additionally, categories may have image icons and you can find how to use them here: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/product-category-menu/

Can you tell me is there a listing somewhere of the light icon set that is the default in the theme? And is there a performance benefit to using the light collection?

One last thing, I notice the prefix fas in the instructions you gave and wonder which version of Font Awesome this applies to? 4.7 seems to be just fa.

As for the SVG icons you can use this source: https://www.flaticon.com/

We shall amend the instruction it was based on 4.7 version. Now we have upgraded.
