I reviewed the product and if have an image for each variation, remove the size attribute and if it works when selecting a color it changes the image but when I add the size it is necessary to select both to change the image.

check the demo and their products work with this condition too, I looked elsewhere and they relate this issue to the theme or the layout using the theme. I found a possible solution that is at the end of this forum. I have not implemented it. I do not know if it causes problems I leave it for your review maybe it can work.

In this case, you need to create the variation basing on the color only. This is Woocommerce functionality and our theme does not influence that, if the variation is created based on color and size, both should be chosen.
