Custom Sub-Category page for specific parent category

Hi there,

1) Could you please tell how to make custom Sub-Category page for specific parent category?
Since my Shop Page is http://mydomain.com/shop , I’ve tried to make the Permalinks for Product category base as “shop”, so that (I thought) the url of product category page would be (for example) “http://mydomain.com/shop/cat-A”. Then I created a new page as my custom sub-category page and assigned its parent as “shop”, so that (I thought) the url of the custom page would be http://mydomain.com/shop/sub-cat-A”
But in fact it was totally not working because of the WP’s issue (404 error). I’ve even read and tried the workaround in this article but still no luck 🙁

2) Is there a way to css (or customize) the drop down menu of sub-category (as shown in the below image)?

1. Unfortunately, it is not possible with WordPress and WooCommerce permalinks structure (you already saw it). And our theme can’t impact this functionality anyhow also.

2. What exactly do you want to customize with this dropdown?

2) for the sub-cat drop down, I’d like to change e.g. its background color, width, add carousel etc., like what we can do in html blocks for mega menu. Is this possible？

Hi,

1. Unfortunately, there is no such feature in our theme. Function demonstrated on the video comes from some other theme, not Basel.

2. Sorry, but this menu is using only products categories and can’t be changed in the way do this with main navigation via HTML blocks. It is simple categories navigation.
