I have created custom taxonomy for “color” and was wondering if it was possible to display this info on singe product pages, and as a widget on the Shop page?

You need to create an HTML block for the taxonomy from Dashboard >> HTML Block.

To Display the HTML Block on the single product page. Edit the Product >> Scroll down.

To Display it as widget on the sidebar of the Shop Page Go to >> Appearance >> Widgets >> Shop Page Widget Area.

Thank you for your help, but one question…
How exactly do I create an html block for the taxonomy?
I know I go to Dashboard >> HTML Block.. but what elements do I have to put into the block in order for it to display the category?

To create an HTML Block that display the specific category go to HTML Blocks >> Add New >> Search for Category you will find various modules that you can use accordingly.
